Permanent Makeup is also commonly referred to as cosmetic tattooing. It is the art of inserting pigment into the skin to help you enhance features such as eyebrows, eyeliners, and lip color. It is considered an anti-aging tool by many celebrities worldwide. Permanent Makeup enables you to go swimming or play sports with no fear of your makeup rubbing off or smearing. It will cut down the time it takes for you to get ready every morning. Yes, that means you can sleep in more!
After the procedure, the client’s color will look darker than the desired color simply because pigment looks darker when wet. Rest assured though that after a few days, the color will lighten up to be softer and more natural. It is normal to lose up to 50% of the pigment originally applied. Due to slight swelling, the affected area could appear a little bit more dramatic. After the swelling subsides, everything will be more natural looking. Just remember, you are not the first person to have permanent makeup done. Many before you have gotten procedures done and have loved their improved looks.
The epidermis of your skin exfoliates on a daily basis, the inserted pigment will lighten over time.
The pigment is affected by exposure to sun or tanning beds, swimming, excessively dry skin, and the use of skin exfoliants. Anti-aging creams/gels that include alpha-hydroxyl Retin-A, and glycolic acids can also negatively affect pigment retention. These ingredients tend to exfoliate the top layers of the skin that the pigment has been inserted into.
To make eyebrows, eyeliners, or lip colors last longer, clients should wear sunblock when outside, wear sunglasses to minimize UV ray exposure to eyes and keep lips moist by applying SPF.
The shape and color of your eyebrows, eyeliners, or lips are designed uniquely for you with consideration of your natural features. It is custom based on your preference and what would be needed to enhance the positives while masking the negatives. I can mix any color to your complete liking. Stencils are never used. No one client’s eyebrows are the exact same as any other client’s eyebrows. Everything is customizable for you and only you.
After the service, you will be sent home with a healing ointment and be instructed on aftercare procedure. It takes between 1 and 2 weeks for your skin to heal and the dryness to completely peel. Once all the dryness has completely peeled, what remains is beautiful, lasting make-up. When my services for you is completed, you will see my beautiful transformation for you before you leave the salon. It is your responsibility to follow my specific aftercare instructions and to protect your investment on your face.
Your comfort is vital to the success of my services so I make sure you are comfortable by applying a topical anesthetic (numbing) cream/gel. The numbing cream is applied during the procedure to ease any possible tenderness. Most of my clients feel only slight pressure or no pain at all. For true client perspective, I invite you to read my reviews on Facebook and Google.
Yes! This is called ghosting and it’s completely normal in the healing process. The skin exfoliates and regenerates new skin every 28 days so it can take time for your brows to darken to the desired color. True results won’t be seen until the skin regenerates and after that point, if the results aren’t the desired color, we can perform a touch-up treatment. For the integrity and health of my client’s skin, it is my professional policy to only perform the touch-up treatment when it has been at least eight weeks after your initial treatment. Please note, the healing process can be an emotional rollercoaster. Trust the process and you will have beautiful results.
After the initial appointment, a touch-up visit may be needed to perfect the little details that may have healed slightly lighter than desired. Every person’s skin and their ability to follow after-care instructions is different so some may need the second visit while others may not. The second visit is included with the original cost of the procedure as long as it is scheduled for any time between the 8th and 12th week after the first appointment date. If a client chooses to have a follow-up appointment done after the allotted time, the cost will be $150 or more depending on what needs to be done and how much time has elapsed between the initial visit.
The touch-up appointment is usually made upon completion of the clients first initial appointment. If the client needs to reschedule, there is no guarantee that the client can come in within their 8 – 12-week touch-up time frame. My advice: do not miss you reschedule your confirmed touch-up appointment.
You may have scarring or other health complications that require you to have special needs for permanent makeup. I will be happy to meet with you to evaluate how I can help. Please do not feel embarrassed or hesitate to ask.
Modern MRI equipment rarely causes any major problems for clients that have had permanent makeup procedures. Some may experience a temporary tingling sensation that could simply be eased up by application of a wet cotton round on the affected area. Please visit www.mrisafety.com for more information.
